After attending my design workshop in Poplarville, MS, part of my “Twice Green” Subdivision Regulation Update for Pearl River County, developer Phil Ward approached me about designing a 37-lot conservation subdivision in the coastal town of Pass Christian. The site lent itself to a street layout wrapping around an extremely attractive stream valley populated by a number of magnificent oak trees, which became the neighborhood’s central park. Four additional greens were created using crescents and closes, around which homes were situated, buffering them from the principal street network.
